The re-editor of these club classics went unaccredited when 'Night Grooves' was released in late '78 - and 23 years later the tape boxes aren't doing much talking - but it's highly likely that they were assembled by, or under the supervision of Phil Kaffel. A staff member at the Fantasy empire, Keffel had already overseen re-edits and remixes of such club perennials as Bill Summers' 'Straight To The Bank'and the Bar-Kays' 'Holy Ghost'.
