'In 1959, French pianist Jacques Loussier, along with well-known bassist
Pierre Michelot and drummer Christian Garros made their first attempts to
translate the magic of Johann Sebastian Bach's compositions into the jazz
idiom. The albums were so successful that the pianist would repeat the
formula many times in subsequent years. This edition compiles the first two
volumes of play Bach (Decca 40.500 & 40.502) for the first time on a single set.
This is the music that gained Loussier his much-deserved fame.
