Disc 1 is comprised of 21 masters that were recorded in Nashville in 1982 by Sam & Dave where they revisited many of their Stax hits as well as a cross-section of additional chestnuts.  These cuts were originally issued in 1982 as 2 separate albums both titled Soul Study on the 51 West logo.
Disc 2 is culled from a sold out 9/21/79 show at New York City’s Palladium where Sam & Dave opened for The Clash.
