The Sex Issue, Aish Divine’s follow up LP to Mother, serves sex realness with laughter, sadness, euphoria and vogue. “Common Questions” is the Grindr dating experience, “Jungly” expresses primal sexuality, “BBC” is a pornhub category and ”Unfurler” deals with abuse. The Sex Issue unfurls around a percussive core built with marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones, santur, gamelan and electronic beats. The Sex Issue is a reflection, an exposé, an observation of modern love and sexuality.

Aish Divine worked with a non-binary cast and only female directors on the music videos for The Sex Issue. Escaping persecution and an abusive living situation, he studied voice and composition. He released Mother, an orchestral ode to his relationship with the mother figure to positive reception and a 16 date tour, including playing to a 3000 person anti-Trump rally at San Francisco’s Civic Center. The Sex Issue is a complete sonic and emotional 360 from Mother.
